Belated Marble Time!

Good evening lovely ladies!
I did a quick water marble last week and never got around to posting it.
I realized that I only took one decent looking picture of it but I loved the marble so much I still wanted to share it with all of you!

This is OPI- Kiss Me on My Tulips
with a marble of
OPiI-KMOMT, OPI-Fly and Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear- Mellow Yellow
with a Poshe topcoat

Sorry for such a crappy picture I will have to marble these colors again, they were so fun and spring-ful!
(made up word I know) :-)

OPI polishes are so good for marbling. Do you like to water marble? Which brands work best for you?

Dorothy Who? Pelican Gray

So it's been a while, but I'm back! I was a little disappointed with how my pictures were turning out and was not very happy with my first few posts. So I made some changes.
I took some time and researched the best way to take pictures, started using my husband's camera and  I made a light box. So far I am loving the way my new pictures look!

This is China Glaze's Pelican Gray with CG Dorothy Who as an accent nail on my ring and thumb finger with Poshe as a topcoat. Both of these polishes applied like a dream!
I knew I had to buy Pelican Gray when I saw it on Chit Chat Nails I love Marta's nails and I'm always learning about new polish colors from her.

Close up of the beauty that is Dorothy Who? Not the best picture but look at it sparkle!

Crackled Mrs. Mint and Sugarplum Fairy

So I mentioned that I won a nail art contest in my first post ( my first nail art contest :) )
It was held by the lovely Mixed Mama (follow her blog!)
She sent me a cute little package!
(sorry for the crappy photo)

But inside was 3 funky fingers polishes:
"Mrs. Mint" a mint green cream with a slight gold shimmer
"Sugarplum Fairy" (also has a gold shimmer)
As well as a glitter crackle top coat called "Purple Glitter Scales"
 They are adorable!

My First Post on My First Blog

Hello my name is Joanna. I wanted to start this blog because I love nail polish and I am tired of looking at other blogs and thinking, I should be doing that! So I am doing this! Up until a year ago I had a job for seven years that had a no polish policy :( Then a year ago I got a new job and I dove back into my polish obsession. I have done my best to make up for lost time this last year and I think I have done a good job.

So onto the nails! My first post will start off with a picture of a manicure that I recently won a contest with...

This was created with:
Polish
Sinful Colors- Black on Black
Layla- Hologram Effects-Retro Pink
Layla- Hologram Effects- Ocean Rush
Layla- Hologram Effects-  Ultra Violet
